Halfway (2025) ft. Kelsey Mines - Dir. by Nick J Browne
Two women find themselves trapped in a world between life and death. Unable to escape on their own, they turn to each other to try and find a way out.
This score is made up of almost entirely improvised upright bass and vocals performed and created by Kelsey Mines that were sampled by me from two performances in 2024 and mangled together into these dark, eerie, atmospheric pieces. There are a few subtle synths in there too but what you're hearing is mostly just many many Kelseys split up, time stretched, warped, pitch shifted and re-arranged. Working with her was an inspiration.

My buddy.Sly, his wife Arisa, TLiebert and myself made this amazing little raccoon themed trash fashion game. When you select different outfit stylings for your raccoon customers, the music changes to match their style! Different styles = different musical modes for the theme music. Different items are assigned to specific instruments like the arp or the bass or the chords so you can end up making some pretty strange modal mixes! Therefore everything was made with midi to integrate into the game fully so the music i’ve included here is a modular performance of all possible combinations.
